Job Responsibilities The Academic and Career Advisor facilitates academic plan development, career advising, registration assistance, and academic strategy cultivation with an assigned caseload of newly admitted students, students in their first semester of enrollment, and continuing students aimed at student success, persistence, retention, progression, and completion. The positions maintains thirty (30) hours of advising availability per week, participates in ongoing training provided by the Center and are assigned to academic department(s), facilitates early interventions, and regularly uses available technologies to ensure accurate and effective advising.
This position is located on the Midlands Technical College Airport Campus. Minimum and Additional Requirements Bachelor's degree and experience in student services programs.
Preferred Qualifications Bachelor's degree and three (3) years of experience in student services programs or a Masters degree and experience in student services programs.
