Appliance Service Technician

ABW Appliances is currently seeking a professional, highly self-motivated Appliance Service Technician. As an Appliance Repair Technician, you will become a member of the team responsible for the quality and efficient maintenance and repair of appliances. You will also develop new clients by identifying opportunities to sell additional ABW products. Excellent attendance, punctuality and a positive attitude are essential for this position and our business.

The Appliance Service Technician will be a full-time team player who is technically oriented and able to ensure fast, flexible, and expert service to diagnose and repair customer/product issues while maintaining the reputation of the company and its brands.

Essential Functions:

• Provide in-home diagnosis and repair of various home appliances.
• Maintaining high-quality customer service and care.
• Advise customers on the proper operation of their products to extend the life of the appliances.
• Provide cost estimates for repairs and collect payment and/or payment information from customers for work performed.
• Utilize laptops/tablets to complete daily service tickets and other reports as required.
• Meet key performance indicators and/or productivity goals.
• Maintain company provided vehicle and uniforms.
• Various other duties as assigned.

Qualification Requirements:

• 3+ years of Appliance Repair experience preferred.
• Required Certifications: Refrigeration, Sealed System Certified
• Working mechanical knowledge, including the use of a computer, tools, and test equipment.
• Ability to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing.
• Must possess and maintain a valid driver's license and clean driving record.
• Clean background check and drug test.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Ability to lift/move products weighing 50+lbs.

Physical Demands: The employee will be required to stand, walk, sit, reach overhead, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee must also be able to lift and/or move a minimum of 50lbs.

Position Details:

• Job Type: Full-Time
• Compensation: $24 - $30 an hour, based on experience
• Schedule: M-F, rotating Saturdays
