Job Description

MissionHires is seeking a Director of Client Services & Business Development to drive growth, deepen client relationships, and lead marketing and client engagement initiatives across engineering, forensics, insurance claims, construction, and related professional services. Partnering closely with executive leadership and technical teams, this role identifies new opportunities, expands existing partnerships, supports recruiting efforts, and ensures high-quality service delivery. Ideal for a relationship-driven strategist who enjoys hands‑on business development without managing a large national sales team. Responsibilities Identify and pursue new business opportunities within engineering, forensics, and related industries Build, maintain, and grow strong relationships with clients, referral sources, and industry partners Represent the firm at client meetings, industry events, conferences, and seminars Support marketing initiatives and positioning efforts aligned with business growth goals Collaborate with internal technical teams to align on client expectations and service standards Track and report on business development performance metrics and revenue goals Assist leadership with recruiting and talent attraction initiatives as needed Support project workflow coordination to ensure responsiveness to client needs Oversee temporary or supplemental staff during large-scale or catastrophic events when applicable Requirements Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or related field, or equivalent experience 5+ years of experience in business development, client services, marketing, or related roles Experience in engineering, forensics, insurance claims, construction, or professional services strongly preferred Proven ability to develop and maintain client relationships Strong written and verbal communication skills, including presentation experience Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines Strategic relationship-building, networking, and customer-focused mindset with a results-driven approach Strong organizational and time-management skills; professional judgment, discretion, and ethical standards Comfort engaging with executive leadership and technical professionals Proficiency with standard business software (Microsoft Office, document management tools, web platforms) Willingness to travel for client meetings, conferences, and industry events; ability to work across office, home office, and travel environments Capability for moderate physical activity (standing, walking, lifting materials) during events or site visits Benefits Compensation is flexible and experience-dependent, based on industry background, years of experience, and the strength of existing professional relationships.
