Job Description
Lead Mechanic needed for large fleet. Mack truck and tech tool knowledge is required.
JOB FUNCTION:
1. Train and supervise fabrication employees of the maintenance department.
2. Ensure operational efficiency of all operating equipment in the shop.
3. Implement safety in the workplace, policies and procedures.
4. Produce high quality equipment in a timely matter.
5. Ability to hire or terminate an employee.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
1. Oversee repairs and upkeep of all equipment in the shop.
2. Ensure a safe working environment for all employees.
3. Perform a quality inspection on all equipment fabricated and maintained in the shop
QUALIFICATIONS:
1. Minimum experience 5 years in a supervisory role.
2. Working knowledge of electrical, mechanical and hydraulic systems.
3. Experience in mechanical and electrical drawings.
4. Conducting site inspections and identifying areas requiring maintenance work.
5. Managing several projects in a timely matter and completing on time.
