Job Title: Restaurant Server (Full-Service Italian)

Location: Tucson, AZ

Compensation: $12.45/hour (Tucson Tipped Minimum Wage) + Gratuities

Position Overview

We are seeking a professional, high-energy Server to provide an exceptional dining experience. You will be the face of our restaurant, guiding guests through a traditional Italian "culinary journey"—from antipasti and primi to secondi and dolce . The ideal candidate has a passion for Italian wine and cuisine, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and understands the nuances of multi-course timing.

Key Responsibilities

• Expert Menu Knowledge: Maintain a deep understanding of Italian ingredients and various dinner and pasta specialties
• Wine & Beverage Service: Suggest appropriate wine pairings (Chianti, Pinot Grigio, Prosecco). Existing Title 4 compliance when serving alcohol is a plus.
• The Art of Timing: Manage the flow of multi-course meals, ensuring that appetizers and main courses are timed perfectly so guests never feel rushed or forgotten.
• Guest Engagement: Greet guests with a welcoming "Tucson-meets-Italy" attitude, handle special dietary requests (including gluten-free and vegan substitutions), and provide confident recommendations.
• Precision Execution: Accurately enter orders into the POS system, manage table settings, and handle financial transactions with 100% accuracy.
• Team Collaboration: Assist in side work, including polishing silverware and glassware, restocking service stations, and supporting fellow team members during dining hours.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Experience: 1–2 years of experience in a full-service or upscale dining environment (Italian cuisine preferred).
• Certifications:
• • Pima County Food Handler’s Card: Must be obtained within 30 days of hire.
  • Arizona Title 4 (Basic) Liquor Law Training: Required for all staff serving alcohol. within 30 days of hire,
• Skills: Strong communication, ability to multi-task, and a basic understanding of Italian pronunciation for menu items.
• Availability: Flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays (e.g., Mother’s Day, Valentine’s Day).
• Physical Demands: Ability to stand/walk for 5 to 8-hour shifts and carry heavy service trays (up to 30 lbs ) through a busy dining room.
