Job Description

What You’ll Be Doing As a highly motivated Junior Environmental Policy & Financial Analyst, you’ll be joining Cadmus’ rapidly growing practice supporting contracts with EPA and other government clients in the areas of drinking water, water quality, and resilience. You will provide financial, economic, and policy analysis support to help meet Cadmus’ high standards of excellence. Responsibilities Provide policy and financial analysis on issues related to drinking water, wastewater, or storm water infrastructure financing, sustainability, and resilience. Analyze infrastructure grant programs to help EPA and states achieve priorities such as improving access to clean drinking water, replacing lead service lines, and strengthening America’s water infrastructure. Conduct data and statistical analyses, literature searches, and reviews on technical topics to support policy initiatives, process improvement, and assess the impacts of policy decisions. Write or edit guidance documents, reports, case studies, presentations, and other documents. Provide general project support such as note‑taking. Qualifications Successful candidates will demonstrate professional demeanor, academic and professional excellence, and a strong work ethic. They must be motivated, detail‑oriented, comfortable speaking in public, and able to manage tasks and projects from start to finish with guidance from supervisors. Exceptional research, oral and written communication, and analytical skills are required. BA/BS with 2‑4 years of experience in environmental management, public policy, public administration, finance, economics, municipal administration, or related field, or a Master’s degree. Understanding of how to apply statistical, financial, and economic methods to answer policy questions. Knowledge of public financing principles and instruments is preferred. Ability to conduct research and evaluate data for data‑driven analyses and reports. Excellent writing, communication, and critical thinking skills with experience producing reports for the general public. Experience using Excel or similar software to analyze data. Experience using R, Python, SQL, VBA, HTML, STATA, or MATLAB is a plus. Some domestic travel may be required. Additional Information Candidates must be eligible to work in the United States as a U.S. Permanent Resident or U.S. Citizen. The minimum starting salary is $65,000; actual salary may be higher based on experience, education, skills, and market competitiveness.
