Job Description
Non-Profit seeks a mid-level law associate with three to five years of experience to join its nonprofit organizations practice. The candidate will handle a variety of legal matters for nonprofit organizations, including entity formation, corporate governance, tax-exemption issues, and compliance with fundraising and political activities regulations.
Duties
Advise on entity formation and corporate governance for nonprofit organizations.
Manage federal and state tax-exemption matters.
Ensure compliance with fundraising and political activities regulations.
Draft and review contracts and general business law documents.
Requirements
Juris Doctorate degree from an accredited law school.
Admitted to and in good standing with the NY bar .
Three to five years of relevant legal experience.
Proficiency in working with 501(c)(3), 501(c)(4), and 501(c)(6) organizations.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
