Chamberlain University is seeking a dedicated Nursing Faculty (Mental Health) professional to join our Educational Services team within the Education, Training & E-Learning department. In this role, you will play a key part in preparing the next generation of compassionate, practice-ready nurses by teaching, mentoring, and supporting nursing students in mental health and psychiatric-mental health nursing courses. Drawing on your clinical experience in mental health settings, you will deliver engaging classroom, online, and clinical instruction aligned with current evidence-based practice and professional standards of care. As Nursing Faculty (Mental Health), you will design and refine course materials, learning activities, and assessments that promote critical thinking, clinical judgment, and culturally responsive care for individuals, families, and communities experiencing mental health conditions. You will facilitate lectures, simulations, skills labs, and clinical experiences, providing clear expectations, timely feedback, and individualized support to help students succeed. You will collaborate closely with colleagues and clinical partners to ensure high-quality learning experiences and consistent application of program outcomes across courses and levels. You will actively mentor students, providing academic advising and coaching to support their professional identity formation as ethical, patient-centered nurses. You will model and reinforce therapeutic communication, trauma‑informed care, and interprofessional collaboration, while creating an inclusive, respectful learning environment that reflects Chamberlain University’s commitment to educating, empowering, and emboldening diverse healthcare professionals. You will contribute to continuous quality improvement by participating in curriculum review, course evaluation, and accreditation-related activities, and by integrating current mental health research, best practices, and regulatory requirements into your teaching. In this position, you will collaborate within a dynamic academic community that values teamwork, innovation, and student success. You will engage in regular faculty meetings, program committees, and professional development activities focused on teaching excellence, assessment, and the evolving needs of mental health nursing practice. This role offers a dynamic work setting with both on-site and virtual teaching responsibilities, depending on course assignments and program needs.
