Join us as we continue to build our OBGyn Hospitalist program at Sibley Memorial Hospital - Johns Hopkins Medicine, in Washington, DC.
We are currently recruiting for full-time and PRN positions.
Full-time, 1.0 FTE members of our hospitalist team provide 24/7 coverage with an average of 6 twenty-four-hour shifts a month. The position is salaried with full benefits including CME, a generous 403 (b) match, tuition assistance and health insurance. Shifts above the contractual minimum are additionally compensated.
Responsibilities include primary management of our Maternal Health Access Program deliveries as well as unassigned OB and gynecology patients presenting through the ED. The OB/Gyn Hospitalist team will also be available to facilitate patient care for our community physicians on Labor and Delivery, including occasional first assist for cesareans, initial care in acute situations and triage support.
Successful team members are comfortable managing emergencies in both obstetrics and gynecology and have the flexibility to work in a supportive role when appropriate. They practice evidence-based care in a collaborative manner and are champions for patient safety and health care equity.
The OBGyn Hospitalist will report to the Medical Director who reports directly to the Vice President of Medical Affairs of Sibley Memorial Hospital and the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine (JHUSOM) National Capital Region Director of Gynecology and Obstetrics or their designees. The Clinical Associate will collaborate with the Director of Nursing, Director of Operations, and Chairperson of Women and Infant Services to advance quality, safety, operational, and patient-centered care initiatives for Sibley Memorial Hospital. In addition, the Clinical Associates will form collaborative working relationships with the community obstetricians and JHUSOM maternal-fetal medicine providers to support patient care needs, drive quality and safety initiatives, and promote operational efficiency.
