• # Pipeline ControllerApplylocations: Canonsburg, Pennsylvaniatime type: Full timeposted on: Posted Todaytime left to apply: End Date: June 19, 2026 (6 days left to apply)job requisition id: 00021711# **An exciting career awaits you**At MPC, we’re committed to being a great place to work – one that welcomes new ideas, encourages diverse perspectives, develops our people, and fosters a collaborative team environment.**POSITION SUMMARY:**Responsible for monitoring and controlling facilities and associated equipment to ensure safe, reliable and efficient operations**KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:*** Monitors flow and operations of pipelines from centralized location.* Ensures timely and accurate product delivery or receipts for customers and suppliers.* Monitors tank inventories, temperatures, line pressures, and meter counts.* Maintains daily shift record of noteworthy events (console log) as it relates to Control Center Console and field pipeline activities.**EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:*** High school diploma or GED required* Valid driver’s license required* Must be able to pass drug test and background check* Must be able to work 12-hour shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays**SKILLS:*** Attention to Detail: Develops ability to be careful about detail and thorough in completing work tasks.* Communication: Develops ability to communicate effectively verbally and non-verbally; writes as appropriate for audience needs and conveys information effectively and professionally to others.* Critical Thinking: Develops ability to use logic and reasoning to identify strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions, or approaches to problems.* Operation Monitoring: Develops ability to watch gauges, dials, or other indicators to make sure a machine is working properly.* Public Safety & Security: Develops knowledge of relevant equipment, policies, procedures, and strategies to promote effective local, state, or national security operations for the protection of people, data, property, and institutions.* Safety: Applies in difficult or complex situations ability to recognize safety risks in operational activities and use appropriate measures to control and manage identified risks.* Safety Awareness: Ability to recognize and identify potential hazards. Evaluates changes in work environment with respect to impact on safety of self and others. Understands potential threats created by deviation from safety procedures and improper use of tools and equipment. Uses personal protection equipment. Uses tools and equipment in compliance with manuals and training. Calls attention to potential and actual hazardous conditions as they arise. Demonstrates knowledge of lockout/tag out procedures.
