Intermountain Health is seeking a compassionate and skilled Registered Nurse for the Intermediate Mixed Acuity Care Unit within the Healthcare & Medical Services department. In this role, you will provide high-quality, evidence-based nursing care to patients with varying levels of medical complexity, ensuring safety, clinical excellence, and a consistently positive patient experience. As a key member of a multidisciplinary care team, you will conduct comprehensive patient assessments, develop and update individualized care plans, administer medications and treatments, monitor patient responses, and promptly escalate changes in condition. You will collaborate closely with physicians, advanced practice providers, therapists, case managers, and support staff to coordinate care, facilitate safe discharges, and support continuity of care across the health system. You will be responsible for managing a mixed-acuity patient assignment, prioritizing and organizing care, and utilizing critical thinking to respond to rapidly changing clinical situations. Responsibilities include documenting care accurately in the electronic health record, adhering strictly to patient safety protocols, infection prevention standards, and regulatory requirements, and participating in quality improvement initiatives that advance clinical outcomes and patient satisfaction. You will provide patient and family education about diagnoses, treatments, medications, and self-care, demonstrating empathy, cultural sensitivity, and clear communication.
