Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced SAP Basis & Security Consultant to design, implement, and manage secure SAP environments hosted on Azure. The role involves ensuring regulatory compliance, managing system security and authorizations, and supporting BASIS administration and migration activities.

Key Responsibilities

SAP Security & Authorization

• Design and implement SAP security roles and authorization concepts for Azure-hosted SAP systems.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory standards including SOX, GDPR, and BFSI requirements.
• Perform user provisioning, role testing, and Segregation of Duties (SoD) analysis.
• Configure secure communications (SSL/TLS) and encryption for SAP workloads.
• Monitor and audit system access logs and remediate security violations.
• Collaborate with BASIS and Azure teams to implement identity and access management controls.
• Support SAP GRC integration, risk analysis, and compliance monitoring.
• Provide security validation and sign-off during cutover and post-go-live phases.

SAP BASIS Administration

• Execute SAP system administration tasks including client copies, transport management, and system monitoring.
• Perform performance tuning and troubleshoot application server issues.
• Support migration activities including export/import, SUM/DMO execution, and system validation.
• Configure RFC connections, logical systems, and integration points post-migration.
• Conduct system health checks and automate routine BASIS operations.
• Coordinate with Azure infrastructure teams for connectivity and resource provisioning.
• Implement backup and recovery procedures and monitor job scheduling.
• Document technical procedures and provide operational handover.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• 8-10 years of experience in SAP Basis administration and SAP Security.
• Strong expertise in SAP HANA environments and Azure-hosted SAP landscapes.
• Hands-on experience with SAP role design, authorizations, and compliance controls.
• Experience with SAP migrations and system upgrades.
• Knowledge of SAP GRC, SoD analysis, and audit compliance processes.
• Familiarity with identity and access management in cloud environments.
• Strong troubleshooting, performance tuning, and system monitoring skills.
• Excellent documentation, communication, and collaboration abilities.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in BFSI domain compliance requirements.
• Knowledge of automation and scripting for BASIS operations.
• Exposure to Azure infrastructure and cloud security best practices.
