Job Description

The Transportation Safety Manager plays a critical role for CR&R in monitoring the health of the EHS system through training, coordinating and auditing the implementation of Environmental, Health & Safety programs. The position manages compliance efforts and continuous EHS improvement strategies. In addition, the Safety Manager will be responsible for ensuring all incidents and their corrective actions are completed.Salary Range: $75,000 - $80,000 per yearKey Responsibilities and DutiesAssist in the determination of the preventability of accidents and injuriesConduct safety and DOT audits to ensure managers and employees are following safety rules/ regulationsProvide required monthly safety training to all managersDevelop training strategies, initiatives and materials for new driver orientationEvaluate safety concerns and incident countermeasures for compliance with regulations and company policyConduct investigations and review completed reports related to traffic and industrial type accidentsAssist with legal issues pertaining to accident and injury investigations to determine cause and also, that result in litigation.Participate in legal depositions that CR&R is involved in and testify in a court of law if requiredInvestigate thefts which may occur on company propertyInvestigate any threats or potential threats of violence to employeesInvestigate any crimes that may occur on company property and liaison with law enforcement personnelBachelor's degree in education, business, human resources, information technology, or related field is preferredTwo (2) years' previous experience as a trainer, corporate training specialist, or related positionProficient computer skills, Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Excel), and instructional softwareExperience with technologies and best practices for instructional manuals and teaching platformsStrict adherence to company philosophy/mission statement/sales goalsStrong project management skills with the ability to supervise multiple projectsGood interpersonal skills and communication with all levels of managementAble to multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficientlyExcellent leadership, team building, and management skillsEncouraging to team and staff; able to mentor and leadExcellent verbal and written communication skillsAble to analyze problems and strategize for better solutionsEEO STATEMENTCR&R is an equal opportunity employer.
