This position is currently working remote, but may need to be in the Minneapolis office occasionally. Who We’re Looking For Graduates with a bachelor’s degree (B.A.) from four-year college or university; or two to four years’ related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. A Paralegal certificate and one to two years of experience may also be sufficient. What You’ll Do Monitor and respond to all foreign docket dates. Work with U.S. Paralegal counterparts to ensure all deadlines are met and updates SLW/client databases accordingly. Prepare formal papers and coordinates with foreign associates to complete filing of national stage and regional applications. Review and handle all international mail and faxes, or routes to responsible Attorney. Assist Attorneys with all regional or national stage prosecution matters and country-specific validations. Record billing entries and meets billing goals. Review office actions and other communications from foreign patent offices and prepare preliminary draft of responses. Calculate client estimates of filing and prosecution costs in various countries/jurisdictions. Provide directions and finalize correspondence prepared by the Case Management Group.(CMG) Inform clients of the status of applications and provide information needed to complete applications. Proofread documentation to ensure accuracy. Assist foreign associates with prosecution of applications and payment of annuities. Develop and maintain knowledge of foreign and regional Patent Office rules and procedures. Perform other tasks as directed or assigned by Attorneys or firm management.
