The Human Resources Assistant provides a wide variety of human resources administrative support, which may include recruiting and staffing, administration of benefits programs, training and development, payroll, and special projects. Completes personnel transactions and maintains associated records. Provides support to the entire HR department.
Experience & Education 2 plus years of Human Resources experience preferred. Strong interpersonal skills, ability to communicate and manage well at all levels of the Company High level of integrity and dependability required Proven ability to exercise sound judgment, making decisions based on accurate and timely analyses. Essential Duties & Responsibilities Assist with human resource operations, including recruiting, selection, orientation, and training, with HR Corporate guidance. Maintain policies and procedures in all areas of human resources with Corporate HR guidance. Support all internal and external HR related inquiries or requests. Maintain digital and electronic records of employees. Assist with the recruitment process by identifying candidates, performing background checks, and issuing offer letters. Schedule meetings, interviews, HR events, and maintain agendas as needed. Perform new hire orientations and onboarding. Produce and submit reports on general HR activity. Complete termination paperwork and assist with exit interviews. Keep up to date with the latest HR trends and best practices. Assists in compliance activities across GATE Energy. Assists with employment agreements and collecting required new hire paperwork for payroll and HR records. Support, comply with, and participate in the GATE HSSE program. Document HR processes/procedures. Assist with HR internal training program for GATE staff. Provide general clerical and administrative support for the human resources team. Prepare/maintain all files: personnel, medical, retirement, training, contract, etc. Assist HSSE with scheduling required pre-employment testing, such as physical, drug tests, and any additional training required. Maintain HR and training records and compile reports from files and databases as needed. Work closely with the Finance and Accounting Team to provide payroll administrative support as needed. Assist Benefits Manager in administering employee benefits programs. Assist with tracking annual leave and report to Managers as requested. Complete and maintain Employee Action Forms (EAF) to update employee data as required.
