Hours: Full-Time – 35 Hours Work Location: 30-30 Thomson Avenue, LIC, NY 11101 The NYC Department of Design and Construction (DDC), Law Division, is seeking a highly motivated, entry-level Investigator interested in developing a career in investigations, surveillance, and fact-finding. This role is ideal for recent graduates, early-career professionals, or candidates with internships or limited experience related to criminal justice or investigative work. This position supports the Agency’s internal disciplinary program under Section 75 of the New York Civil Service Law. Extensive prior investigative experience is not expected or required training will be provided. Successful candidates will demonstrate curiosity, professionalism, strong observational skills, and enthusiasm for working both in the office and extensively in the field. Key Responsibilities Assist with internal investigations involving employee conduct and policy compliance Conduct fact-finding interviews and assist in gathering documentation Perform field work, including observations, site visits, and service of legal process Support surveillance-related activities as assigned Prepare clear, accurate written reports and summaries Maintain investigative case files and electronic records Utilize agency computer systems for case tracking and data entry Assist with administrative hearings and provide testimony when required Review referrals and allegations to determine appropriate follow-up actions Authorization to work in the United States is required for this position.
