Job Description

The Fountain Group is a national staffing firm and we are currently seeking a Medical Information Specialist for a prominent client of ours. This position is in Florham Park, NJ 07940 Details for the position are as follows:

We are seeking a Medical Information Specialist to support global medical information activities within a pharmaceutical environment. This role is responsible for providing accurate, evidence-based medical information, developing medical content, and supporting responses to healthcare professional inquiries.

This position works closely with medical affairs, clinical teams, and global affiliates to ensure consistent, compliant communication of medical and scientific information.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide complex medical information for assigned therapeutic areas and respond to escalated inquiries from internal teams and medical information call centers.
  • Develop, maintain, and update global medical content documents used to address inquiries from healthcare professionals and internal stakeholders.
  • Evaluate clinical literature, summarize data, and support the development of Data on File and medical information responses.
  • Review and approve medical content to ensure accuracy, clarity, and compliance with regulatory and corporate standards.
  • Maintain strong knowledge of product data, disease states, treatment guidelines, and labeling.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with medical affairs, clinical teams, and global affiliates to ensure consistent messaging.
  • Identify insights and trends based on medical information inquiries.
  • Present complex scientific information clearly to a variety of audiences.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree plus professional healthcare credential, OR an advanced degree in a relevant health science field
  • Background in Nursing, Physician Assistant, Pharmacy, PhD in Health Sciences, or MD/DO
  • Strong ability to evaluate clinical data and interpret scientific literature
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including medical writing
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
Preferred Experience
  • Experience in pharmaceutical medical information or medical affairs
  • Familiarity with Veeva Vault, Salesforce, or medical information inquiry databases
  • Understanding of pharmaceutical regulatory and compliance environments
